Roulette
How to win at Roulette, detailed rules and tips...

Objective of the Game

The roulette wheel is a symbol of glamorous casino leisure. Roulette is an easy game to pick up. Once you familiarize your self with the wheel and the table, all you have to do is figure out what bet you want to make. When that is done, online roulette becomes a refreshingly simple game.

How to Play

There are two types of bets in roulette; the same rules apply in both brick-and-mortar and online casino environments . These bets are: inside bets and outside bets.

Inside Bets

Straight Up
A straight up bet is a bet that's placed on a single number.

Split Bet
A split bet is a wager that cover two numbers. Split bets are made by placing your chips on the line that divides any two adjacent numbers that you want to cover. Split bets can also be made by placing a bet on the line between 0 and 1, 0 and 2 or 0 and 3.

Street Bet
A street bet is a bet that covers three numbers in a row with one wager. Street bets are made by placing your chips on the outer most line of a number row. Street bets can also be placed on 0, 1 and 2 or 0, 2 and 3.

Corner Bet
A corner bet is a bet on any four touching numbers. To place a corner bet, find the spot where four numbers converge. Place your bet on the corner of these numbers (the intersection where the four numbers touch). Corner bets can also be made on the corner of 0, 1, 2 and 3.

Five-Number Bet
Players can place a five-number bet on zero, double zero, 1, 2 and 3. This is the worst bet on the wheel because it gives the house the highest possible advantage. Five-number bets should be avoided at all costs.

Line Bet
A line bet can be placed on six numbers (two rows of three numbers). To place the six-number bet, find the two rows you want to wager on and place your bet on the end corner where the to rows meet.

Outside Bets

Red or Black
This is an even-money bet. Wagers are placed in the red box for red numbers and in the black box for black numbers

Odd or Even
This is also an even-money bet. Players select odd or even numbers to wager on.

Low or High
Another even money bet, the high or low wager allows players to cover low or high numbers with their bet. Players can bet on the low numbers, 1 through 18 or the high numbers, 19 through 36.

Dozens
Dozens bets are made to cover one of three possible sequences of 12 consecutive numbers. There are boxes on the table that correspond to each dozens option: numbers 1 through 12, 13 through 24 and 25 through 36. Dozens bets pay 2 to 1, and players lose their bets when the wheel lands on zero or double zero.

Columns
Column bets are also 12 number bets. Players decide which vertical column they want to cover with their wager. Like the dozens bet, column bets pay 2 to 1.
