Ant Up For Africa
Poker pro Annie Duke and actor Don Cheadle founded an Ant Up For Africa poker tournament, which will take place in this year's WSOP. It'll star in July at the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino. The money, raised from this tournament is destined to the African victims of Darfur and Sudan.
Many poker pros and celebrities decided to participate at this tournament, because it is for a worthy cause. Last year's Ant Up For Africa raised more than $ 700,000 and after the success of last year, the founders Duke and Cheadle hope that also this is year the tournament will bring up a big amount, so they can help the victims in the African crisis. Besides, they appreciate the idea that the poker world and entertainment can come together in this way and they will also ask all players, to donate half of their winnings to their charities. Cheadle himself, who became a serious poker player, will participate in the tournament. The "Hotel Rwanda" star will play with famous actors like Matt Damon, Ben Affleck and Adam Sandler.

Other celebrities who will join the tournament are, the Fallout Boy musician, Joe Trohman, the NBA star Jason Kidd and the comedians Kevin Pollack, George Lopez and Cheryl Hynes. Next to all these celebrities, there will be a bunch of professional poker players: Doyle Brunson, Eric Seidel, Daniel Negreanu, Phil Ivey, Andy Bloch, Chris Ferguson and others. All these poker player already participated last year on this special event and this year they had to register themselves long before, because it could have been sold out.

The tournament this year has some new rules, it's featured by a fast structure, and it'll finish in 5 hours or less. The seating is limited, that's why all interested should sign up early. Cheadle and Duke are passionate supporters of this cause, and the funds from the tournament will go to 2 charities.
