Poker syllabus
Poker is not just a game. It is a new world. Let’s have a look at the poker dictionary and explain some phrases.

All-in: This is the situation in which a player is engaging his entire stack of chips to the card his playing.


Ante: This is the small bet that one needs to pay before each hand.


Bankroll: Your amount of chips that you have


Big Blind: This is the bet posted by the player sitting in the second position. He bets before distributing the deck of cards.


Big Slick: It is the term used to describe the card combination of an Ace and a King.


Call: This describes the acceptance of a player to the bet of his opponent.


Check: If you don’t want to raise then say this word.


Fold: This is when you don’t want to play your hand and you give your cards back to the dealer.


Free roll: It is the free tournament that doesn’t require a payment.


Pot: It is the amount of chips in the middle of the table and the winner takes it.


Rebuy: When you first enter a tournament you buy chips. When you lose them you can have a chance to buy again the starting chips to continue playing. This is called a rebuy.


Bluff: When someone doesn’t make a hand combined with the cards on the table and wants to raise or play all his chips to bully players and make them fold.


These are terms that are widely used in the poker world.
