Three local residents have been arrested by a special Investigation Unit of the Montgomery County Sherrif's Department in Houston, Texas for being involved in an Internet gambling operation in Costa Rica.

A 49 year old carpenter fell about 15 feet and died after a fatal head injury. This men's death was the first one at the Echelon site, but it was the 12th death related to the Strip construction in the past 18 month. It's shocking news.

Adam "Pacman" Jones is in trouble for not repaying to Caesars Palace $ 20,000 in casino markers. The NFL player has been suspended for the 2007 season.
In December 2007, Jones leaves the Clark County Regional Justice Centre after a shooting incident at the Minxx strip club, where a man became paralyzed.

About a week ago an MS Charity Poker Tournament took place at the Golden Nugget Casino in Las Vegas. This tournament was hosted by Montel Williams this year. This event was for the benefit of the Montel Williams MS Foundation. It took place at the pavilion of the Golden Nugget and it was the first event of a long series. The series of tournaments for the charity are called "The Grand".

The 2008 World Series of Poker had taken place on the 9th of June this year. Duncan "Pumper" Bell was the first one to be celebrated. He arrived at the final table of Event number 13, $ 2,500 No-Limit Hold'em. That’s how he got also to the bracelet ceremony. Duncan won several times at the final table and he has beaten also Steve Merrifield.

The original Seminole casino has a rival across the street. The old one is still a formidable 25 poker tables, room that has many tournaments each week. The new Seminole Hard Rock has an extremely flashy style and a youthful casino hotel.
Four years ago a $ ½ no-limit came on the casino poker scene and it was often spread with $100 cap to the buy-in.
